1. Introduction
Sparrow ("the app", "we", "us") is an MCQ practice app for students preparing for the NEET PG exam. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the app, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Sparrow, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We use this to identify your account and personalize your profile inside the app.
Device session information. To prevent one account from being shared across multiple devices at once, we store a session identifier tied to your account. This lets us detect when the same account signs in on a new device and sign the previous device out.
Payment information. When you unlock premium content, payment is handled entirely by Razorpay, our third-party payment processor. We never see or store your card, UPI, or bank details. We only receive and store confirmation that a payment was completed successfully, along with the date and a payment reference ID.
App usage data. We store which subjects and topics you've unlocked and your premium status, so your access stays consistent across sessions.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To let you sign in and access your account
- To verify payments and unlock the content you've paid for
- To enforce single-device login on your account
- To respond if you contact us for support
We do not sell your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Third-Party Services We Use
We rely on a small number of trusted services to run the app:
- Google Sign-In & Firebase Authentication — to let you log in securely
- Google Firebase (Firestore & Cloud Functions) — to store your account data and verify payments
- Razorpay — to process payments; Razorpay has its own privacy policy governing the payment details you give it directly
Each of these providers has its own privacy practices, and your data is handled under their respective policies in addition to ours.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Google Firebase's servers and protected by access rules that restrict who can read or write it. We do not store any payment card details on our own systems at any point.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, email us at contactadminsparrow@gmail.com and we'll process the request within a reasonable time.
7. Payments & Refunds
The one-time unlock fee gives you instant access to premium content. Because access is granted immediately upon successful payment, purchases are generally non-refundable. If a payment fails, is duplicated, or is deducted without unlocking access, contact us at the email below and we'll investigate and resolve it.
8. Children's Privacy
Sparrow is intended for students preparing for a postgraduate medical entrance exam and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the app evolves. Significant changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
